This guide is an essential resource for research, it will inspire discussion and provide young people with understanding of this complex issue.

Topics covered in this guide:
• What is Cannabis?
• What would happen if Cannabis was legal?
• Young people and drugs
and many more...

This up-to-date and accessible guide provides a concise overview of this issue in a clear and helpful form. Young people who need information on this issue will find it in these attractive and relevant pages. As the guide itself explains:

Cannabis is a type of flowering plant which produces a drug that can alter someone’s mental state (a psychotropic drug called THC).

Cannabis is probably the most common illegal drug in the UK. In law it is known as a class B drug. The penalty for possession can be up to 5 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.

Cannabis comes in three different forms: Grass, marijuana or weed; hash or solid and cannabis oil.

Alcohol and drug problems in young people seem to be declining but some still need help. The majority of young people in treatment have a range of problems related to their substance use. Girls are more likely to report mental health problems and self-harming while boys are more likely to be involved in antisocial behaviour and not be in education, employment or training.

This guide is a 20 page downloadable PDF - you can print as many copies as you need.
