The Library Learner Quiz Pack is an online resource containing interactive quizzes which all run instantly from a web browser - assuming you have the appropriate login details, that is! It seems happy with any modern browser, and is "mobile friendly".

Clicking on the link provided (thus avoiding having to type a password in - which is always helpful!) leads you to a huge variety of quizzes, which are particularly suitable for upper junior and lower secondary children. There's an easy to use interface...

Once you're in, the questions are user-friendly, and easy to navigate around with a variety of question types. The subjects available range from Library Learners, through the Internet, General Knowledge and Geography, to British Values, with easy to read questions in a variety of formats. If you get a question wrong, there's no drama - you just get the opportunity to choose a different answer, although it does record questions not answered first time and if you have too many wrong guesses, it will eventually continue. The whole package is really handy - the library quizzes are useful as introductions to a library, and a lot of the others would be useful as cross-curricular resources which, from a funding point of view, is never a bad thing!

I was also impressed that the quizzes will work perfectly happily on an iPad and even an iPhone. Overall, it's a very impressive package which older primary love to use - particularly as it lets them compete against each other by providing them with an overall score at the end of the game. The quizzes also don't take too long to run, making them perfect for the beginning or end of a lesson, or for someone who finishes early to pass a bit of time usefully while everyone else is catching up. A quality package at a very reasonable price, with the option of a week's trial to check if it's for you. Another great product from one of the most reliable providers of library resources!
